Digital Divide

The Digital Divide refers to the separation between people caused by the progression in technology in some countries where others do not have the infrastructure or the resources to avail of the advancement of new and old technologies. Technology can change different parts of life such as business, keeping in touch with family members and old friends and the handiness that computers and, especially the internet can bring to everyday life. The internet provides things including delivery service numbers applying for loans, it also gives people the opportunities to apply for a wider range of job and gain education knowledge. However people in third world countries and lower income families often are left behind and can not enjoy the experiences that we often take for granted.

  1. I liked the way you mentioned the disabilites elderly people have as this is a very big part of the Digital Divide's range and teaching these people how to use computers can make their lives that much easier.
